All our Multi-Day trips offer unique opportunities for outdoors exploration but there are a few aspects of our trips that remain consistent:

Our 25 foot Voyageur Canoes bring “group travel” to a whole new level. They hold up to 12 people so there is no need to worry about the skill levels of your group. You’ll be gliding along taking in breathtaking views, sharing stories, getting exercise and experiencing the adventure, All Together!

Your hosts on this journey will be the Ridge Wilderness Guides. Besides their paddling expertise, they will also offer natural interpretation of the environments we traverse and provide your delicious and healthy meals.

Gulf Island Explorer (4 days) 

The Gulf Isles offers unique opportunities for exploration and that is exactly what we do on this 4-day journey.

Crossing the main channel starts our journey off with a healthy dose of adventure. Sailboats, whale watchers, and ferries often turn their attention to watch our birch bark painted canoes paddle by. It is not uncommon to see smiles and waves as other vessels appreciate the legacy of the canoe we represent. 

A variety of activities await you on this journey: trail-walking, exploring the inter-tidal zone, visiting favourite hangout locations for sea lions, and of course paddling. We paddle throughout a multitude of islets, all with unique shorelines and wildlife for us to appreciate and interact with. Our temporary home becomes the sandy bays and sheltered coves of the islands and you can expect to wake each morning to the same sort of tasty breakfast and morning coffee you may expect in the comfort of your own home.

Our Ridge Wilderness guarantee is that you end your journey trip feeling well cared for, exercised, and enlightened by the beauty of the Gulf Isles.

Desolation Sound (5 days) 

Paddling Desolation Sound with Ridge Wilderness is a getaway unlike any other. Here is what you can expect to see and experience on this journey:

As we paddle, vibrant sea stars, crabs and other sea creatures decorate the rocky shoreline; while sea otters and harbour seals swim close to the canoes, curious about this paddle-driven vessel.The swells, and current create a dynamic path for the canoe, and if the wind is just right we hoist up sails and allow the wind to carry us forward.
We set up camp in snug coves and bays where trails lead to freshwater falls and shell beaches. While exploring these trails, it is not uncommon to see eagles bringing the days catch to their young in the tree-tops.
A fire-cooked meal becomes the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure.
Sipping hot tea before bed, conversing with friends while watching the horizon turn vibrant shades of sunset, it is possible to be filled with a kind of joy that comes from feeling connected to nature and your fellow explorers!
