Company Overview:

    • Programs for groups from 1 person - 250, for 1 hour to 5 days
    • Capacity for over 170 on the water at one time.
    • We have a fleet of 16 historic Voyageur Canoes and have access to First Nations Coastal Canoes and 40-foot Montreal canoes. 
    • We have access to all Clipper Canoe models, so we can offer lessons and adventures in the perfect canoe for you. 
    • We can feed groups up to 250 and create specialized meal plans for each group as part of your experience.
    • We have been in full operation for 4 years.
    • We are fully insured and operate above industry standard for safety.

    • Big Canoe Course Development Committee Leader for Paddle Canada
    • Fraser Valley Zone Rep for the Recreational Canoe Association of BC
    • Course Standards Committee for the Recreational Canoe Association of BC

Guides:

Minimum Qualifications:
    • Voyageur Leader, provincially recognized standard (soon to be national)
    • Standard First Aid (or higher on every trip)
    • Lake Water Instructor for all tandem and solo canoe trips
    • Ridge Wilderness Adventures specific and rigorous training
 
Additional Qualifications held by select guides:
    • Lakewater Canoe instructor,
    • Lakewater levels 3 and 4
    • Swift Water Rescue Technician
    • White Water Paddler, provincially recognized by the RCABC
